The Council for an Integrative Learning Environment (CILE) invites proposals to fund integrative learning activities. Grant funds are competitive and intended to be used to develop ways to enhance the integrative experiences and outcomes of your course, program, or professional development that connects your discipline to another field, course, or co-curricular area.
Funds can be used to support course or program materials, class or organization projects and field experiences, and programming that explicitly emphasizes integrative learning. CILE Grants cannot be used for instructor stipends.
Upon completion of the integrative learning activity, the grantee(s) will submit a project summary to the CILE in order to be reimbursed. This project summary may include a poster presentation or other meeting to share results of integrative learning grant projects. If a grant is awarded, instructions for the project summary and reimbursement process will be included in the award letter.
Which semester will the course be offered?
Please describe the integrative learning aims of your project (refer to the definition of integrative learning). Include the scope and substance of your request (i.e. How will you use the funds? How will these funds help to sustain the integrative learning practice beyond the grant year?).
How will theory be connected to practice in order to deepen students’ learning?
How will the integrative activities encourage students to recognize and reflect on connections among personal values, classroom learning, and experiential engagement?
