Res Life – Meal Plan Medical Appeal
You will receive communication about your appeal through SAU email. Appeals will be granted under special circumstances and examined closely by the Food Services Committee.
Instructions & Important Information
• Turn in documentation of your medical condition from your health services provider to Health Services. This must include dietary recommendations/restrictions.
• Schedule a meeting with the Operations Manager of Sodexo Food Services to discuss possible accommodations.
• After the meeting with Sodexo, schedule a follow-up meeting with Health Services to discuss the findings from your medical documentation and the meeting with Sodexo.
Upon completion, Health Services will submit a recommendation to the Food Services Committee.
Please realize this process takes time. Therefore, continue using your meal plan until the committee reaches and communicates a decision. If your appeal is approved, meal plan charges will be pro-rated based on the date your appeal was submitted to the Residence Life Office.
